Our member Robert Franenberg, a double bass player at the Orchestra of the 18th Century and the Netherlands Bach Society, will be giving a masterclass on the 5-string Viennese bass at the Amsterdam conservatory on the September 17 and 18, 2015.

He will start the project with  a Powerpoint and playing demonstration in which he will play three movements from the Vanhal’s Divertimento for Violone, Violin, Viola and Two Horns; (title page below) and two movements from Vanhal’s Divertimento for Violin, Viola and Violone.
